These premium range bells are made to meet and exceed the specifications set by SOLAS and Lloyds Register. To give the required tone and volume, the grade of brass proportions, thickness and weight all have to be tightly controlled during production, resulting in bells of exceptional quality and reliability. These ships' bells are manufactured in the finest tradition - sand-cast solid brass turned and polished to an immaculate sheen. The specification, materials and design are tightly controlled to meet the tough requirements of the marine environment. ENGRAVING. Our experienced staff can personalise your ship or hand bell with deep-cut engraving of boat name, home port and year of launch, or commemorative message for a special occasion such as an anniversary or retirement. The engraving shown with 'Otter' has a black infill, which is available at an extra charge.
